What is Account Verification? How to verify your account?

Verification is required only for certain exchange directions due to AML/KYC policies.

You need to be verified in order to use any of the following exchange directions:

  • Withdrawal to Visa/MasterCard (USD)
  • Flexepin (CAD)
  • MoneyPolo (USD/EUR)
  • Astropay (USD)
  • SWIFT/SEPA (EUR)
  • Sberbank (RUB)

When you visit the exchange page for the one of the mentioned above exchange directions you will see a notification in a red warning box that your account is not verified:

You can click on the verification link or you can go to your account and click on the “Unverified” text-link in “Account Status” column.

Step 1. Verification Terms

Read the verification terms carefully and accept them by clicking "Yes" button.

Step 2.Mobile Phone Number Verification

2.1. Select your country code and input your mobile phone number starting with ‘+’ sign.

Example: +389317071085
Please note: your mobile phone number should accept SMS-messages

2.2. Now you need to wait a bit (should be a matter of seconds, but sometimes up to 10 minutes) to receive SMS-message to your mobile phone. Received SMS-message will be in a format: 2 “Your verification code: XXXX. Thank you for choosing ALFAcashier!”.
You need to enter XXXX (4 digits) into the code verification dialog and press the “Check code” button.

Please note:
If after 10 minutes there is no SMS-message on your mobile phone please try the following:
* If for some reason you entered an incorrect mobile phone number, you can change it by clicking the “Change number” button.
* If the SMS did not arrive within 10 minutes, click the “Resend code” button.
* Restart your mobile device so it can reconnect to operator infrastructure.
* Insert SIM card into another device to eliminate possible device issue and click on the “Resend Code” button.
* Update firmware of the device to the latest version and click on the “Resend Code” button.
* Remove DND (Do Not Disturb) flag from your mobile phone number through your mobile operator and click on the “Resend Code” button.
* If previous steps didn’t help please contact our Support.

Step 3. Identity Verification

3.1. To verify your identity follow these rules (part of them are displayed in the green block on the right):
✔️ Your identity document must be valid for at least 6 months
✔️ You must be an adult and have an age of majority
✔️ Verification status is only valid until the expiry date of your submitted document. If your document expires you need to verify your account again by submitting updated documents
✔️ Your document must be officially issued by your government, contain your signature
✔️ All edges of your document must be visible
✔️ Photo/scan of your document must be clear and readable (no blur on the document or reflected light) 
✔️ Photo/scan must be high quality at least 300 DPI or more
✔️ Photo/scan of the document must be taken from real document not screenshot or electronic copy. Also you can’t edit the scan/photo of the document, crop it
✔️ Your document must contain english names of your personal data or you need to provide a notarized certified translation of your document in english language.
✔️ Only coloured photo/scans of documents are accepted.

3.2. You can verify your identity with document type listed below:

  • Internal passport (both main pages in one photo/scan file) *
  • International passport (both main pages in one photo/scan file)
  • Driving licence (front and back side in two separate photo/scan files)
  • National/International ID card (front and back side in two separate photo/scan files) **

* Please do not confuse Internal passport with ID card! Internal passport is like a small paper book whilst ID card is a plastic card.

** ID documents must be government issued, have a photo, be signed by the ID holder and have a validity date that will not expire within 6 months. Internal passport and international passport must be pictured/scanned with both main pages in one photo/scan. 

3.3. Below we will demonstrate identity verification process with an example of National/International ID card document type.

Your document should look like this (please note: these are non-real and exampled only to make this guide more detailed!):

Now, you need to fill the data from your document into the form:

  • Citizenship (country) - Macedonia
  • Birth Date (year-month-day) - 1989-04-25
  • Type of Document - National/International ID card
  • Document Number - E0597848
  • Document Issue Date (year-month-day) - 2007-09-11
  • Document Expiry Date (year-month-day) - 2022-09-03
  • Document Authority (your document issuer) - MOI - KUMANOVO
  • Select files with a photo/scan of the front side and back side of your document

Now click on the “Submit” button - if everything is correct it should take you to the next step of address verification. Your data will be reviewed in 24-72 hours and you’ll get an e-mail if there is something wrong with the info you’ve provided or if you’ve passed your identity verification.

Step 4. Address verification

4.1. To verify your address you need to follow these rules (also some of them are displayed in green box on the right):
✔️ Your proof of address document must be issued not more than 3 months ago
✔️ You must be an adult and have an age of majority
✔️ Verification status is only valid until the expiry date of your submitted document. If your document expires you need to verify your account again by submitting updated documents
✔️ Your address should be printed fully with ZIP/Postal code on your proof of address document
✔️ You can use utility bill or letter from your housing company or your bank statement with your full address there. Bank statement should contain a bank’s stamp and should be a physical statement (not online file or online copy)
✔️ All edges of your document must be visible
✔️ Photo/scan of your document must be clear and readable (no blur on the document or reflected light)
✔️ Photo/scan must be high quality at least 300 DPI or more
✔️ Photo/scan of the document must be taken from real document not screenshot or electronic copy. Also you can’t edit the scan/photo of the document, crop it
✔️ Your document must contain english names of your personal data or you need to provide a notarized certified translation of your document in english language
✔️ Only coloured photo/scans of documents are accepted
✔️ P.O. box is not allowed in the address

4.2. You can verify your address with document type listed below:

  • National/International ID card (front and back side in two separate photo/scan files) **
  • Bank Statement (should contain your Full Name, Full Address, Issue Date)
  • Utility Bill (should contain your Full Name, Full Address, Issue Date)
  • Cellphone bill (should contain your Full Name, Full Address, Issue Date)

** ID documents must be government issued, have a photo, be signed by the ID holder and have a validity date that will not expire within 6 months.

4.3. Below we will demonstrate the address verification process with an example of National/International ID card document type.

Your document should look like this (please note: these are non-real and exampled only to make this guide more detailed!):

Now, you need to fill the data from your document into the form:

  • ​Type of Document - National/International ID card
  • Country - Macedonia
  • ​City - KUMANOVO
  • Address Line - UL. CVETAN DIMOV, BR. 95
  • Select files with a photo/scan of the front side and back side of your document

Now click on the “Submit” button - if everything is correct your data will be reviewed in 24-72 hours and you’ll get an e-mail if there is something wrong with the info you’ve provided or if you’ve passed your address verification.

After 24-72 hours the staff member will check your provided documents and either verify your account or reject your identity and/or address verification with a specific reason (e.g. if you’ve made a mistake in any of the forms). You’d need to fill the forms again properly and submit the documents once again.

After successfully completing all four steps, the “Account status” line will display that your account has been “verified”. Congratulations! Your account has been verified.
